I found this very small and relatively fast moving amoeboid in a sample from a small freshwater dune lake along the Dutch coast. In the sample I also found a Hyalodiscus spec. This cell was smaller, but with an orange color, so I think it's a small Hyalodiscus and probably identical with the other species. Observation was difficult, because it moved on the slide and not along the cover glass. It's speed was 2.6 µm/s.
