Korotnevella stella (Schaeffer, 1926) Goodkov, 1988
Diagnosis: Locomotive form variable, usually wider in the anterior part, sometimes it looks like an irregular triangle with anterior hyaline border. The cell forms numerous hyaline dactylopodia. No differentiated uroid. Floating form of radial type, with several long, tapering hyaline pseudopodia. Single nearly spherical nucleus, with central endosome about 3 µm in diameter. One contractile vacuole. Vary small irregular cristals in the cytoplasm of some specimens only. No cysts found.
Ultrastructure: Cell coat includes bascet-like scales.
Dimensions: Length in locomotion 31-60 µm (average 46 µm), L/B about 1.5. Nucleus c. 6 µm in diameter.
Ecology: Freshwater, small river in limestone area, Southern France
