Saccamoeba spec.
Saccamoeba? spec., common locomotive form, two nuclei visible

Saccamoeba? spec.

Diagnosis: normal locomotion monopodial, 60-100 µm long, with broad anterior end; uroid broadly rounded with radiating filaments; crystals not observed; about five vesicular nuclei, with relatively large nucleolus. Anterior hyaline cap finely granulated, but only present when changing direction.

Ecology: in sediment of a dune lake, the Netherlands.

Remarks: This amoeba resembles a Saccamoeba, but it is multinucleated and new to science. I found it in an almost dried pool along the shore of a dune lake in the Netherlands.
