Genus Armipyxis Dekhtiar, 2009

Genus Armipyxis was created by Dekhtiar (2009) to accommodate all species with internal struts. It seems like a good idea to bring all those strut-containing species into a separate genus. However, C. aculeata may also have struts, although not mentioned in the original description. Being the type species of genus Centropyxis, it can not be transferred to Armipyxis, making Armipyxis an invalid taxon.
