Centropyxis arunachalensis Chattopadhyay & Das, 2003
Diagnosis: Shell yellowish, more or less elongate-oval with a broader posterior part, in ventral view, the flanks of its post-oral part initially straight or concave and subsequently convex forming a broadly round posterior area; in lateral view, the posterior part is considerably arched while the anterior part is more or less flat; the aperture is elliptical, eccentric and located near the anterior border of the shell. Shell composed of quartz particles covered by organic layer.
Dimensions: According to Chattopadhyay and Das (2003): Shell length 77—83 µm; width 42—44 µm.
Ecology: Tree moss.
Geographical distribution: Mayadiya, Dibang Valley District, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
