Diagnosis: Shell pyriform, with a broad, slightly conical neck, with tooth-like lobes on the edge of the pseudostome. The surface is rough. The pseudostome is round, large.
Dimensions: Gassowsky (1936): Shell length 168-193 µm, width 98-103 µm, diameter pseudostome 45-50 µm.
Habitat: Freshwater.
