Genus Eiffelospina Cavalier-Smith, 2012

Diagnosis: tangential plate scales with irregularly arranged upper-tier holes; outer layer of hollow terminally toothed, radial spine scales, distally and proximally flared, the central region tapering distally and perforated
by numerous holes.
Etymol: after the Eiffel tower because of its similar strongly latticed and distally tapering appearance.
