Diagnosis: Shell as for the type, but with a much longer neck, more than 1/3 of the total length.

Dimensions: According to Grospietsch (1971): Shell length 129—148 μm, width 70—78 μm.

Habitat: Sphagnum.

Geographical distribution: Marion Island.
