Genus Cashia Page, 1974

Diagnosis: Locomotive form monopodial with a wide, but reduced, anterior hyaline zone. Posterior of cell smooth or with a small uroid, never with a villous knob. Nucleus spherical with a central nucleolus. No cytoplasmic crystals. No cysts.
At the ultrastructural level, surface with cup-like structures some 30 nm in diameter. Mitochondria with helical cristae.

Type species. Cashia limacoides (Page, 1967)
