Genus Distomatopyxis Bonnet, 1964

Diagnosis: Shell morphology with characters of the family. Shell composed of flat mineral particles in an organic cement, surface smooth.

Habitat: organic forest soils, North- and Central America, East Asia (Korea, Japan, Philippines), and Spain (Asturias).

Two species. Refs. Bonnet and Vandel (1970), Bonnet (1979a), Bonnet and Gomez-Sanchez (1984).
