Diagnosis: Multinucleate organic-walled monothalamous foraminifera with a spherical to ovoid test that is flexible, colorless and smooth. Shell wall variable in thickness. Aperture sub-terminal, oblique, flexible. Cell with an internal peduncle surrounded by a hyaline peduncular sheath. Nuclei ovular, with small peripheral nucleoli. Cytoplasm with several contractile vacuoles and numerous refractive crystals. Cysts spherical.
