Genus Oscillosignum Bovee, 1953

Diagnosis: Locomotive form with a long tapering pseudopodium which actively waves around; this leading pseudopodium frequently attaches to the substrate permitting the cell body to flow into it to form a flattened cell. Flattened forms with short paired pseudopodia; long pseudopodia granular except the tip; floating form spherical with blunt radiating pseudopodia; single nucleus; crystals present.
