Tracheleuglypha acolla Bonnet & Thomas, 1955

Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, not compressed, circular in cross‑section, covered with large overlapping oval scales. Shell with a very short, straight neck, bearing circular plates. Pseudostome circular, bordered by smaller oval plates.

Dimensions: Length 34–47 µm; width 17–27 µm; pseudostome 6.8–8.8 µm.

Ecology: Mosses, litter.

Delhez & Chardes, 1970, described a variety elongata:
Diagnosis: Shell circular in cross‑section and more slender than the type form. Very hyaline; the covering consists of circular or slightly oval scales. Pseudostome with a very thin, slightly undulating margin.
Measurements: Height 37–40 µm; diameter 12–15 µm.
Ecology: Clear subterranean water. Belgium.
