Pseudodifflugia moderi
Pseudodifflugia moderi, after Coûteaux, 1972

Pseudodifflugia moderi  Coûteaux, 1972

Diagnosis: Shell very small, oval in shape, elongated along the oral–aboral axis, and very pale, scarcely yellowish. The pseudostome is always visible—unlike in Pseudodifflugia senartensis—and is very small (about 3 µm in diameter), circular, and without any particular differentiation at the margin. The covering consists of reworked siliceous elements, coarse and very angular, similar to those of Pseudodifflugia senartensis. Its thickness is quite considerable in proportion to the size of the test (about 3 µm).

Dimensions: Length 25 µm; width 20 µm; aperture diameter 3 µm.

Ecology: Soil
