Gocevia binucleata De Saedeleer, 1934

Diagnosis: amoeba more or less spherical in shape, partly or completely surrounded by a distinct hyaline margin; surface with a layer of foreign bodies, though young cells may be nearly free of them; protoplast not filling the cuticle completely; hyaline zone often irregular in outline with conical or digiform subpseudopodia and trailing filaments; cells usually binucleate.

Dimensions: 29-36 µm.

Habitat: Fresh water, in sediment. Not rare.

Remarks: It is very hard to detect the nucleus. Usually this species should have two nuclei, but I have trouble to detect even one, because of the dense covering with xenosomes.
