Basionym: Pontigulasia compressoidea Jung, 1942
Diagnosis: Shell ovoid and compressed, without any constriction between neck and body.
Dimensions: Jung (1942): Length 173-185 µm; breadth 105 µm, diameter of aperture 38-40 µm. Chardez (1958): Length 190 µm. My measurements: 158-230 µm.
Ecology: Fresh water.
Geographical distribution: Chili, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Japan.
