Basionym: Clathrulina stuhlmannii Schaudinn, 1897

Diagnosis: Shell spherical, more or less chitinous, colorless to brown, perforated by numerous comparatively small pores; test surface with fine network-like structure, pores con like increased; stalk very long; nucleus single, vesicular; with some vacuoles.solitary or colonial.

Dimensions: Shell diameter 38-40 µm; cell body 22-35 µm; pores 3-5 µm wide; length of stalk 300-400 µm, 4-5 µm wide.

Ecology: Fresh water. On organic sediment. Abundant. East-Africa.
