
Genus Armatura Siemensma & Łuców, 2025
Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, asymmetrically compressed, lenticular in cross-section, lateral margins often slightly acute. Two types of body scales: large oblong scales, that more or less overlap each other, and smaller broadly elliptical to oblong scales that lie beneath the larger scales and cover the gaps and transitions between and are also arranged around the aperture. Pseudostome subterminal, invaginated and ventrally positioned, round or elliptical, bordered by one or more rows of small denticulate apertural scales. Granular nucleus.
