Diepveen – Dwingeloo

This site is part of a vast nature reserve, called Dwingelderveld, located southwest of the town of Assen, close to the village Dwingeloo, in the northern area of the Netherlands. It consists of heather and woodland, dotted with small and larger peat fens. The name Diepveen means: deep fen.
