Remarks: Observed specimens were covered with a thin layer of debris as is characteristic for Gocevia species. During observation of at least two specimens in a wet mount, the amoebae got rid of its covering, adopted a monotactic form form and started to move in that form, leaving its covering behind. In wet mounts I could also observe empty coverings. This kind of behavior is characteristic for Rhizamoeba-species.
