Gibbocarina gracilis (Penard, 1910)

Diagnosis: Shell elongated pyriform, with a rounded smooth fundus; two lateral pores; pseudostome slightly curved, with a chitinoid lip; in frontal view an irregular border is visible, parallel to the sides; this border is the base of a ridge or keel.

Dimensions: According to Deflandre (1936): Shell length 90—130 µm; width 50—60 µm. My measurements: 118 µm.

Ecology: in Sphagnum-vegetation.
