Naardermeer Noord
This site is an isolated ditch in the northern part of the Naardermeer nature reserve. My samples were taken from aquatic plants and bottom sediments, and they contained abundant iron bacteria. The exact location is GPS 52.30460, 5.11635 (see arrow). The site lies in the centre of the Netherlands.
Remarkable species in this ditch:
- Difflugia microclaviformis
- Arcella (robusta) formosa
- Clathrella foreli
- Cucurbitella vlasinensis
