Peru Tambopata River
Peru
The site where I collected several interesting samples is the Cocococha Lagoon, an old meander of the Tambopata River that is home to a family of giant otters. My samples were taken from aquatic plants covered with detritus. The exact location is 12º 49′ 05.72″ S, 69º 15′ 42.74″ W (see arrow). The site lies about 30 km south‑southwest of Puerto Maldonado.
