Diagnosis: Shell slightly pyriform, in cross section circular; test wall thin and fragile. Pseudostome circular or elliptical, at the broadest pole, very hard to observe because of the general presence of a mucous epiphragm embedded with mineral particles. Shell covered with amorphous siliceous particles embedded in chocolate brown chitinous cement.

Dimensions: Variable, depending upon the different locations: Kenya: Length ca. 113.2 µm, width max. 98.0 µm (n=13); Paraguay: L 77.25 µm, W 65.5 (n=15).

Habitat: Humus rich soils. Kenya, Paraguay.
