Genus Pseudoraphidiophrys Mikrjukov, 1997

Diagnosis: Centroheliozoa with a periplast comprising 2 types of tangential scales: the internal layer plate-scales without a hollow marginal rim, and an external layer of plates with a well developed sternum and radiating ribs. The base of the sternum may be expanded and concave to create a velum-like extension of the scale. No records from light microscopy.
Four species, all freshwater.
