Diagnosis: Mostly polypodial, with several hundred spherical nuclei. Crystals mainly bipyramidal or flat. Cysts known.
Dimensions: Polypodial form about 500-800 µm long, monopodial form up to 1,5 mm.
Ecology: Freshwater. North-America.
