Filoreta sp.

Diagnosis: Cell bodies spindle-shaped, connected by a large network of cytoplasmic strands; strands vary in width. Cytoplasmic streaming very slowly, but not always obviously. Protoplasmic threads largely lacked prominent granules in one group of cells, but in a second group of cells granules were clearly present (see images below).

Ecology: This species was present in a wet mount from sediment collected from the bottom of a shallow ditch in Gaasterland, the Netherlands, 2022.
