Genus Nolandella Page, 1983

Diagnosis: Locomotive form limax-like, usually around 12 µm long, displaying frequent changes in direction. Unusual among the hartmannellids in that some cells show eruptive activity. At the ultrastructural level, surface coat with hexagonal elements extending 30 nm above plasma membrane. Floating form with blunt radiating pseudopodia
Type species: Nolandella hibernica (Page, 1980)

Habitat: Single marine species.
