Protocucurbitella coroniformis f. ecornis Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1960

= Netzelia corona

Diagnosis: Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1960: “In our work on the Difflugia of Africa we have figured a Difflugia corona var. ecornis which, as shown by the diaphragm visible under the teeth, should be classified as Protocucurbitella. The var. ecornis of Difflugia corona is however a real entity; we have found it in different parts of Africa and the specimens of Canejan (Gironde) are well connected to Difflugia corona.”

Dimensions: Height 150 μm; width 160 μm; diameter of pseudostome 80 μm.

Ecology: marshes, Africa, Gabon.
