Diagnosis: Shell medium, transparent, hyaline pyriform, rounded in cross section, pseudostome of irregular shape, surrounded by a long collar.

Dimensions: Laminger (1972): Shell length 65—70 µm; width 54—59 µm; pseudostome diameter 22 µm.

Habitat: Freshwater.

Geographical distribution: Austria.
