Nebela minor Penard, 1893 = Nebela tincta (Leidy, 1879) sensu Kosakyan & Lara, 2013

Diagnosis: Shell small, clear,covered with round plates of different size, the smallest ones located between the larger ones. Around the aperture, the plates are always very small. The shell is compressed, about twice as long as wide. Fundus rounded. Pseudostome elongate elliptical with lips a little bend outwardly. Sometimes with small diatoms between the plates.

Dimensions: Penard (1893): Length 90—100 µm; width 40—50 µm; thickness about 20 µm.

Habitat: Sphagnum, Penard found this species in Colorado, USA.
