Nebela strangularia Decloitre, 1965, taxon inquirendum
Diagnosis: The shell habitually resumes that of Alocodera cockayni, but it differs from it in the shape of the much stronger contraction at the base of the neck, the truncate pseudostome, the straight (rectilinear) sides of the neck, the dimensions, and the aspect of the membrane. This membrane seems to be smooth except for some occasional thicker plates. The neck is attached to the rest of the test as it was a tube fixed by pressing it a little to strengthen it and slightly deform the part of the test supporting it.
Dimensions: According to Decloitre (1965): Shell length 170—180 μm; width 100—105 μm; aperture 40 μm.
Habitat: Shallow pond (Van Oye, 1949).
Distribution. Iceland: N . Grimsey,
Remark: According to Kosakyan et al., 2025, this taxon requires further investigation as its validity and classification remain uncertain.
