Schwabia terricola Bonnet & Thomas, 1955

Diagnosis: Shell almost perfectly ovoid, yellow, chitinoid, encrusted with debris and small silicious xenosomes, especially around the pseudostome. Pseudostome regularly circular, about ¼ of the diameter of the test.

Dimensions: Length 81-87 µm, diameter 49-56 µm, pseudostome Ø 10-15 µm, Length/Diameter: 1.50-1.64.

Ecology: soil, mosses.

Remarks: Bonnet and Thomas observed one encysting specimen which closed its pseudostome with a lot of debris.
