Sphenoderia ovoidea Jung, 1942

Diagnosis: Shell with four layers of plate-scales. Distinguished from S. fissirostris by the ovoid tapering of the fundus and by the relatively low pseudostomal collar.

Dimensions: Length 57-59 µm; width 33-36 µm; breadth 18-20 µm; aperture 18-20 µm; collar 3-5 µm high; plate-scales 8×10-15×18 µm

Ecology and distribution. Freshwater, in swamps and ponds. Chile.
