Alocodera cockayni (Penard, 1911)
Basionym: Hyalosphenia cockayni Penard, 1911

Diagnosis: Shell vase-shaped, compressed, with a broad rounded fundus and a clear constriction between the neck and the main body. Sometimes with two difficult to observe lateral pores, aperture arched in narrow view, with thickened rim. Shell very transparent, yellowish, with a smooth surface and small xenosomes in organic cement.

Dimensions, According to Penard (1911): Shell length 89—126 μm, width 45—77 μm, pseudostome 40 μm.

Ecology: Sphagnum.

Geographical distribution: Only on the southern hemisphere. New-Zealand, Australia, South-America.
