Apogromia mucicola (Archer, 1877) De Saedeleer, 1934
Diagnosis: Shell round or elongated, normally symmetrical and with a clearly defined neck; pseudopodia extremely fine and difficult to observe, with only very few grains in rapid motion; reproduction by division into two parts (with zoospore formation) within the shell.
Dimensions: De Saedeleer (1934): Length 8.5-15 µm.
Ecology: Freshwater. Belgium.
