Diagnosis: Shell small, circular in plan, in profile below hemisphere. The surface is completely covered with leaves of diatoms. The mouth is more or less round, located on a flattened abdominal surface.
Dimensions: According to Chardez (1966): Shell diameter 32—40 µm, height 20—22 µm, diameter of the aperture 13—14 µm.
Ecology: Freshwater.
Geographical distribution: Belgium.
