Difflugia ampullula  Playfair, 1918

Diagnosis: Test broadly ovate, with hemispherical fundus, and sides gradually converging in almost straight lines to the broadly truncate pseudostome, which is surrounded by a narrow, slightly everted collar. Fundus sometimes capped with a minute, pointed spine. Pseudostome circular.

Dimensions: Length 72-89 µm; width 52-65 µm; pseudostome diameter 21-30 µm, collar 4-8 um high.

Ecology: Freshwater, Australia.
