Difflugia glans  Penard, 1902

Diagnosis: Test elongated, strongly resembling an acorn; fundus rounded and its sides slightly bulging and narrowing towards the round and small aperture. Pseudostome bordered by a row of rounded and shiny scales, which are not always visible. Nucleus spherical with round nucleoli.

Dimensions: Length 66-77 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater. In sediment. Switzerland.
