Diagnosis: Shell elongated, resembling the end of a finger or acorn, covered with mineral particles and detritus. Pseudostome almost circular. Nucleus granulated with large number of small nucleoli.
Dimensions: Blanc (1892): Shell length 180-310 µm; width 130-150 µm; aperture 110 µm in diameter; nucleus 31 µm.
Habitat: Freshwater. In sediment of deep lakes, > 40 m. Swiss lakes.
