Difflugia lobostoma var. truncata  Playfair 1917

Diagnosis: Shell small, ovate or subglobose, truncate near the aperture, the aperture invisible in lateral view and generally a little smaller than the base. Aperture slightly and often irregularly 3-4 lobed.

Dimensions: Playfair (1917): Shell length 55-67 µm; width 49-59 µm; aperture 23-38 µm.

Habitat: Freshwater. Common. Australia, Europe.
