Cryptodifflugia bassini  Bobrov, 2001

Diagnosis: Shell small, axially symmetrical, circular in transverse section, flattened in longitudinal section, widely elliptical. Aperture central, circular, wide, Apertural edge even, smooth, with weakly seen thickening. Shell chitinous, yellowish-brown. Shell surface smooth, without alien inclusions. Diameter/height ratio 1.88.

Dimensions: Shell diameter 15–23 μm, shell height 8–12 μm, aperture diameter 7–13 μm.

Ecology and distribution. Upper layer (0–5 cm) of Sphagnum quagmire, wet Sphagnum mosses. Russia, Japan.
