Cryptodifflugia paludosa   Golemansky, 1981

Diagnosis: Shell elongated‑ovate, slightly narrowed at the aperture and rounded posteriorly. Transverse section oval. Aperture somewhat oval, sometimes almost circular. Shell chitinous and transparent, often bearing siliceous xenosomes around the aperture.

Dimensions: Shell length 32–45 μm; shell width 20–32 μm; shell depth 14–18 μm; aperture size 10–15 × 8–13 μm.

Ecology: Sandy littoral; coarse sand (0.31–1.0 mm); groundwater salinity 0.69‰–16.26‰; recorded to a maximum depth of 120 cm in sand.

Distribution: Black Sea.
