Diagnosis: Shell small, with length only slightly exceeding width, almost cylindrical, with broad aperture occupying almost entire lower side of the shell, shell surface covered by rare sand grains.
Dimensions: Shell length 13–17 μm, shell width 12–15 μm, aperture diameter 8–11 μm.
Ecology and distribution. In thickets of Typha in waterbodies. Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Spitsbergen, Vietnam.
