Diagnosis: Shell small, with length only slightly exceeding width; almost cylindrical; aperture broad, occupying almost the entire lower side of the shell; shell surface covered with sparse sand grains.

Dimensions: Shell length 13–17 μm; width 12–15 μm; aperture diameter 8–11 μm.

Ecology: In thickets of Typha in waterbodies.

Distribution: Bulgaria; Germany; Poland; Czech Republic; Spitsbergen; Vietnam.
