Cryptodifflugia lanceolata Golemansky, 1970

Diagnosis: Shell composed of organic material, covered with minute circular and polygonal plates, mostly in the anterior part. Cytoplasm hyaline, with a single nucleus. Cytoplasm does not completely fill the test.

Dimensions: Shell length 18–25 µm; width 11–17 µm; aperture 3–7 µm.

Ecology: Supralittoral zone of marine beaches.

Distribution: Cosmopolitan.
