Cryptodifflugia lanceolata Golemansky, 1970

Diagnosis: shell composed of organic material, but covered with some minute circular and polygonal plates, mostly in the anterior part. Cytoplasm hyaline, with one nucleus. Cytoplasm doesn’t fill the test completely.

Dimensions: Length 18-25 µm; width 11-17 µm; pseudostome 3-7 µm.

Habitat: Supralittoral zone of marine beaches. Cosmopolitan.
