Difflugia levanderi  Playfair, 1918

Diagnosis: Test lance-oblong or mitriform (shaped like a bishop’s miter), short and broad, fundus shaped like a pointed arch, the sides arched and converging right down to the pseudostome. Pseudostome wide, circular, simple, without rim or collar. Test rough with large flints, or chitinous with very small mineral grains, pseudostome not specially margined.

Dimensions: Length 78-116 µm, width 51-78 µm, pseudostome 32-42 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater. Australia.
