Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, compressed in cross section, without spines. The apertural plates are lanceolate, consisting of two parts: on the side facing the aperture, there are 1 large and 4 tiny spines.
Dimensions: Decloitre (1965): Shell length 43—59 µm; width 22—36 µm.
Ecology: Moist green mosses, soils.
