Pseudodifflugia microstoma Playfair, 1917

Diagnosis: Shell chitinoid, ovoid or broad elliptical, not compressed, with rounded fundus, sides gently arched, converging rapidly down to a very small, indefinite aperture, not specially margined.

Dimensions: Length 30-31 µm, breadth 17-23 µm, aperture 4 µm; my measurements: c. 34 µm long, aperture 4.6 µm (n=1).

Ecology: Freshwater lake, Spiegelplas.
