Pseudoraphidocystis glutinosa  (Penard, 1904) Mikrjukov, 1997

Diagnosis: Periplast 10-15 µm in diameter, with two types of scales; details of protoplast unknown. Spine-scales are wide funnel-shaped, 3.0-4.0 µm high. All spine-scales of the same size with hollow stem and bud-shaped base. Plate-scales 3.0-3.3 X 1.7-2.0 µm, without any structure.

Geographical distribution: Freshwater, mesptrophic waters. Autumn and spring. Switzerland (Penard 1904), Germany (Rainer 1968), Netherlands (Siemensma 1981), Chile (Dürrschmidt 1985).
