Diagnosis: The shell is slender, hyaline, with almost parallel sides that taper slightly just before the pseudostome. It is laterally compressed; the pseudostome is elliptical. The scales are oblong‑oval and overlap in a hexagonal pattern. The pseudostome margin is smooth or slightly wavy due to protruding scales, which have the same shape as the other scales. The nucleus contains a centrally positioned nucleolus.
Dimensions: Length 37.0–47.6 μm; width 17.0–32.0 μm; thickness 11.0–12.2 μm.
Ecology: Sporadic but regularly encountered in the humus layer of a beech forest.
Distribution: Europe.
